I know this is not exactly an original or unique topic. What makes it special for me is that I haven't seen spring in 23 years. A budding tree, crocuses and daffodils in bloom, pussy willows... these are things that amaze me after living half a lifetime in the tropics. There, a process of renewal goes on all the time, I guess. It's not the dramatic reawakening that we see here. Many people make spiritual comparisons to the renewal of spring and it got me thinking. Does God want us to be like spring in Canada, coming back to life after a long period of dormancy or does He prefer us to be like the climate in the tropical zones, continually being renewed day by day? I guess He works in our lives in both ways, but I have a hunch which one is the better.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16
Create in me a pure heart, O God,and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalms 51:10
